Diana Glass

Diana Glass was a teacher with the New York City Department of Education. Over the course of many years, she has been steadfast in her support of Fedcap’s mission and program participants, serving as a volunteer and coach to encourage employees in their endeavors. She credits Fedcap with helping her to realize her altruistic spirit. Her membership in the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority has allowed her to engage in various philanthropic drives, including the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, March of Dimes, and mental health causes. Ms. Glass is tireless in her commitment to making a difference in the lives of people with barriers to employment, and has spent many hours reading to college students who are blind.

Ms. Glass attended Long Island University, where she majored in elementary education. Upon graduation, she became a teacher specializing in English as a Second Language. Ms. Glass is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew and has a strong knowledge of French. She has served on the Advisory Council of Group Work and Recreation, which introduced her to Fedcap, and joined the Fedcap Board in 1988.
