National Disability Employment Awareness Month: Fedcap Salutes Thirumahan Thurairajasingam

Thirumahan Thurairajasingam was born in Sri Lanka, and moved with his family to the United States when he was 16. In New York, he attended The Lexington School for the Deaf, graduated from Fedcap’s data-entry training in spring 2005, and went to work in Fedcap’s document management division. A talent for operating high-speed machinery led to him taking on operation of Fedcap’s new document imaging and scanning equipment in 2007. Moving with Fedcap to its new Bronx location in 2011, he now works as both mail clerk and driver. “I want to show others that you can follow your dreams and make something of yourself in any industry or field you choose regardless of your disability,” he says.
