Fedcap Employee Krzysztof Bramski Earns 2014 NYSID Joslin Outstanding Performer Recognition

Krzysztof BramskiOn Thursday, September 4th, in a ceremony at 19th Street, Fedcap employee Krzysztof Bramski was presented with a 2014 NYSID Joslin Outstanding Performer Recognition by NYSID, the Preferred Source agency for New York State.

Krzysztof, who is deaf, has been with Fedcap for almost five years and has advanced to become Project Team Leader on the NYSID/NYC Department of Housing, Preservation and Development (HPD) Preferred Source contract. The Fedcap team led by Krzysztof processes all of the violation notices issued by HPD - between 900 and 2,000 each day - a job that requires accuracy, speed and teamwork. 

“We greatly appreciate Krzysztof’s hard work and are grateful to our partners at NYSID who create so many great opportunities for people with disabilities to succeed,” said Fedcap CEO Christine McMahon.

Krzysztof’s father emigrated from Poland to the United States in 1987, and the rest of the family joined him seven years later. Krzysztof spent years mastering American Sign Language (ASL), and developing exemplary work habits that have drawn the praise of his supervisors.  He is highly engaged with his co-workers, is skilled with computers, and also trains Fedcap’s deaf clients.

“The best way I can describe him is very humble,” said Reaghan Smith, Krzysztof’s supervisor at Fedcap. “There is no job too big or too small. He’s always willing to jump in and help, and is a real joy to work with.”

He shares a house with his mother, father and sister in Maspeth, Queens, which was recently purchased with the help of the money he earns at Fedcap.  When he isn’t working Krzysztof pursues a passionate interest in art and photography. He loves to visit museums, especially ones that provide ASL services.

After being presented with the check and certificate, Krzysztof thanked NYSID and Fedcap for offering him the opportunity to succeed in a job that he loves.

At the conclusion of the ceremony Fedcap COO Joe Giannetto thanked NYSID and praised Krzysztof for his hard work and willingness to lead and train his co-workers. "Yours is an incredible success story, and I hope that you and your family are very proud of the work you have accomplished,” he said.
