News from FedcapFedcap Facilities Management Awarded CIMS-Green Building Certification with Honors
On January 17, 2014 Fedcap received official notification that it had passed its Cleaning Industry Management Standard – Green Building assessment and has been awarded CIMS-Green Building Certification with Honors. The Certification validates that an independent, accredited assessment found Fedcap to be a trusted and reliable provider of environmentally sound facilities maintenance services.
“Congratulations to the entire Fedcap Rehabilitation Services, Inc. team on achieving Certification with Honors to the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-Green Building (GB) criteria,” said Daniel S. Wagner, Director of Facility Service Programs, ISSA. “I know a lot of hard work went into the preparation and you are certainly to be applauded for your efforts.”
By implementing CIMS-GB principles into its operations, Fedcap establishes itself as a certified provider of green cleaning services. The certification assists customers in achieving points under the LEED- Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) Green Building Rating System.
As a CIMS-Green Building certified partner, Fedcap solidifies its position as a leader in facilities management services and trusted partner in socially responsible outsourcing.
“We believe that the CIMS-GB Certification places Fedcap in an optimal position to respond to our customer’s needs and requirements,” said Steve Coons, Fedcap Vice President of Facilities Management. “In addition, this certification establishes a valuable relationship with ISSA, helping us distinguish ourselves and advance our mission.”
The assessment, conducted by an assessor accredited by ISSA, the world’s leading cleaning industry trade association, included on-site reviews of Fedcap’s systems, processes and documentation, and visits to customer locations to ensure enterprise-wide compliance.
The CIMS (Cleaning Industry Management Standard) Certification with Honors covers six areas for best practice: quality systems, service delivery, human resources, management commitment, Green Building (GB), and health, safety and environmental stewardship. It is valid for two years, and can be renewed after further assessment.
Fedcap wishes to acknowledge the valuable contributions of SourceAmerica East Region team members Adam Capers, Bonnie Moffitt, and Marshelle Gaspar for their help and support in helping our organization achieve CIMS-GB Certification with Honors.
